The Fairytales Presentation Society is a non-profit society that presents an annual festival of independent films made by and/or about the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, twin spirited (queer) community called The Fairy Tales International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. The Fairy Tales Presentation Society provides a safe and respectful venue for members of all communities to celebrate queer culture. The Fairy Tales Presentation Society encourages filmmaking as art and as an educational vehicle, reflecting and challenging our changing Canadian cultural landscape through production, exhibition and distribution of filmmakers' work. Finally, the Fairy Tales Presentation Society looks for opportunities to provide diversity education to the local community.

The Fairy Tales International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival celebrates the diversity of gay and lesbian culture, inviting a broad audience to enjoy films that—given the limited distribution network—audiences may otherwise not have a chance to see.

The festival showcases a variety of feature length and short films made by, about or of interest to the gay/ lesbian/ bisexual/ transgender community, as well as heterosexual filmgoers with an appreciation for films made with an innovative point of view.
